Do I need to book?
General public admissions – No, you don’t need to book, just come along and have a great day out.
Please note – the House on the Hill Museum closes at 4.45pm. (from 26th Oct 2020 the Castle will close at 4.00pm (3.45pm for the Toy Museum) to coincide with the end of British Summer Time)
Last Admission is 4.00pm. (We recommend a minimum of 2 hours to ensure you enjoy the full extent of our complex. Please try and arrive as early as you can to achieve maximum value for money) (Please note that from 26th October 2020 the Castle complex will close at 4.00pm to coincide with the end of British Summer Time. Therefore, the last admission time will be 3.00pm.)

Do you have a car park?
There is a large Car Park and Coach Park situated adjacent to the Castle and Toy Museum complex with allocated disabled spaces near to the entrance.
This car park is operated on a Pay & Display basis run by Uttlesford District Council. The current 2020 daily charge per car is £1.20 for a three hour stay, £2.40 for a six hour stay. £6.00 per coach for an all day ticket.

Are dogs allowed?
DOGS: As there are numerous animals roaming freely within the grounds, we regret that we are unable to allow dogs at the Castle.
